Magnetic Level Gauge is a Hydraulic device used to measure the level of fluids. A “floatable” device that can float both in high and low density fluids.It is also used for interface reading. All the magnetic level gauges are fitted with a float having a magnet inside. Ie, The float with magnet will sink into the medium with the lower density and will float on the medium with the higher density.

The process of sensing and reading the levels in a fluid is Level Gauge and the instrument used for this purpose is Magnetic Level Gauge. These devices are widely used in industrial process applications and are employed to measure the fluid levels in drums, tanks, pressure vessels, or other similar applications.

Magnetic level gauges work on the principle of communicating vessels, therefore the level in the measuring chamber will be the same as the level in the vessel. The float in the measuring tube is standard not pressurized and has no magnetic or mechanical guidance.

The magnetic level gauge is available with plastic or stainless steel flaps. The flaps can be placed in a plastic, aluminium or stainless steel housing.
